Home remedy for Eczema
Ezcema is divided into 2 patterns. When it is in the acute, or chronic stage.
Acute eczema tends to be wet, and have blisters which eventually burst and weep. The more chronic type is a red, swollen rash that is scaly and hard, where itching is relatively mild.
Along with our treatment tailored to your child’s type of ezcema, we ask parents to help modify the child’s diet and give them guidance to do so.
We recommend the patient avoid sugar and sweets, anything made through fermentation, and anything that molds easily. We recommend a cooked, warm, clear, and bland diet until much of the eczema is resolved.
A home remedy you may want to try is using a poultice made from fresh, grated potato held in place by gauze and changed every 3 hours.
If your child suffers from Eczema make an appointment to see what other ways we can help curb their symptoms.
