Felissa Taylor, M. Ed., L. Ac.

Felissa Taylor had a career in Bilingual Education and Adult Education before returning to school to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. She attended the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, TX and graduated from the Acupuncture and Integratative Medicine College in Austin & Berkeley, CA, and is currently finishing up her Doctorate in Integrative Medicine. Her thesis was on the use of Traditional Chinese Medicinals as a fly deterrent. She has lived in Central Texas for close to 30 years, and has helped hundreds of patients overcome nagging symptoms.

Felissa participates in the Leadership Committee on Health with Central Texas Interfaith, and is involved in advocating for patient rights and quality healthcare for all. She is also currently working on a project to avoid burnout for Austin ISD teachers, by fighting to offer acupuncture on-campus for teachers, staff, and administrators. She is also on the Board of Directors of Casa Albergue Hogar in Ojinaga, MX.

She has seen hundreds of patients, and has helped them find their path to wellness from everything from frozen shoulder, migraines, hip/back pain, autoimmune disorders, ADHD, chronic lung conditions, painful and irregular menstration, frequent UTI’s, and fertility.

Her son Trent, pictured here on the right, is a graduate of Lewis and Clark University and is currently doing research in genetics and lives in Portland, Oregon. Her son Levy studies sound engineering at TX State, and lives in Austin, TX. All are bilingual, and enjoy traveling together.

“I love Felissa and her passion for the medicine and her patients. She is such a thoughtful and caring provider.”
